Updated FPS Working Platform Certificate and Guidance Notes Now Available

The Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) is reminding members and the wider sector that the updated FPS Working Platform Certificate and accompanying Guidance Notes are now available to view.

Recently launched through an EFFC webinar, the updated certificate follows a comprehensive industry review and provides greater clarity on a number of important areas, including drainage and water management, platform demarcation and edge protection, reinstatement following excavation, and the use of the regular inspection log.

While working platform safety has advanced significantly over the past 20 years, ensuring platforms remain consistently safe, suitable and well managed continues to be a key issue across piling and geotechnical operations. The updated certificate and guidance are intended to support clearer communication, stronger control and improved risk management for all those involved.

Those involved in the design, construction, supervision and management of working platforms are encouraged to watch the webinar and download the supporting documents.
