FPS Lends Support for CECA “Stop. Make a Change” Initiative

The Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) is pleased to announce its support for the Civil Engineering Contractors Association’s (CECA) ‘Stop. Make a Change’ initiative – a national campaign being held on the 18th April 2017, which is designed to promote health and wellbeing in the infrastructure sector.

The ‘Stop. Make a Change’ campaign will drive a step-change in performance within the infrastructure sector, with participating companies encouraged to develop their own commitments based around:
• Respiratory Health
• Fatigue
• Plant Safety
• Mental Health

Speaking about the ‘Stop. Make a Change’ campaign, Alasdair Henderson, Chair of the FPS said: “This is an important CECA-led initiative that the FPS is pleased to support. Not only does it align closely with the FPS’s direction of travel, but it also helps our customers and principal contractors to recognise the importance of these topics and so join together with their specialist contracting partners to improve overall industry practice.”

In support of the CECA campaign on the 18th April 2017, FPS members are being asked to put work on hold to and engage constructively with employees and suppliers about health, safety & wellbeing issues, and to make commitments to actions targeting improved performance in these areas.
