The Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) has launched the FPS Awards 2026, with this year’s event marking the 10th anniversary of the Awards and a decade of celebrating excellence, innovation and achievement across the ground engineering industry.
Taking place on Friday 4 December 2026 from 18:30 at the five-star Hilton London Bankside hotel, the milestone event will bring together more than 300 key figures from across the piling, foundations and wider ground engineering sector for an evening of recognition, networking and celebration.
This year’s Awards will be co-hosted by popular German comedian Henning Wehn, the unofficial German Comedy Ambassador to the United Kingdom, alongside FPS Chair, Stuart Norman. Guests will enjoy a sparkling drinks and canapé reception, followed by a three-course dinner with wine and petits fours in the hotel’s grand ballroom, before Henning delivers a comedy routine and the prestigious awards ceremony takes centre stage.
The celebrations will continue after the ceremony with an exclusive after party, reserved for Awards guests, including further drinks, nibbles, networking and live musical entertainment.
The FPS Awards 2026 are open to FPS members and associate members, with eight categories available to enter:

- – Sustainability Award
- – Rising Star Award
- – Project Leadership Award
- – Geotechnical Solutions Award
- – Geotechnical Team of the Year Award
- – Chair’s Award
- – Lifetime Achievement Award
Entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts, including Claire Smith, Managing Editor, UK & Europe, at Mott MacDonald; Stuart Hardy, Associate Director at Arup; Yvonne Ainsworth, Principal Associate at Hawkins & Associates; and Bob Thompson, Managing Director at Bob Thompson FICE.
Tickets for the event include entertainment, awards ceremony and exclusive after party. Registration forms should be completed and returned to Caroline Kratz at fps@fps.org.uk before Friday 20 November 2026.
Tickets are available for FPS members, associate members, their respective guests, and sponsors of the event only.
A limited number of bedrooms are also available at Hilton London Bankside at a reduced rate, with bookings available until 20 October 2026, or until the room block sells out, whichever comes first.
A limited number of sponsorship packages are also available for companies wishing to align themselves with this prestigious anniversary event. Packages are available on a first come, first served basis.
