FPS Collaborates with Go Construct

The Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) has engaged with Go Construct, the initiative supported by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Levy, which provides resources for anyone looking for a career in the construction and built environment sector.

Specifically Go Construct showcases the many rewarding opportunities available, as well as helping people from all backgrounds to enter the construction and built environment sector, which makes such a significant impact on the UK’s housing, industry, and infrastructure.

Collaborating with Go Construct will enable the FPS to showcase the many careers and opportunities available to people looking to make career choices at the many different stages of their life.

Over the next few weeks, the FPS will be sharing content reciprocally, and the FPS would encourage all FPS members to send in interactive content, which can be forwarded on to Go Construct for it to share.

Go Construct will also be placing on its website various job descriptions of the many roles within  the piling sector, which will explain the responsibilities of the key jobs, and help attract new talent into the piling industry.

The collaboration also provides the opportunity for any FPS members to have apprenticeship opportunities shared through Go Construct’s website too.

This alliance is another step in the FPS’s focus on attracting new inclusive talent into the piling  industry, which like the wider construction sector is having to work hard to attract young people necessary, to counter the ever-present challenge of a shortage of skilled people.
